Before your Government Affairs team enters the room, the model has already answered.

Program offices, congressional staff, and investors now begin their research in a chat window. We measure how AI systems find, resolve, and describe defense companies. Then we run the publishing engine that changes the answer.

The instrument, live

Watch a measurement run.

Forty-seven seconds inside the console: share of answer by engine, the questions that matter in your market, the sources each engine actually trusts, and the ranked actions that move the number.

Method

Measure. Diagnose. Move the answer.

The discipline of a program office, applied to your public record. Instrument first. Then intervene, then measure again.

01

Measure

A full index run against your named competitive set: share of answer, featured versus passing placement, sentiment, and a map of every source the engines cite when they describe you. Branded and discovery queries are scored separately. Blending them flatters the companies that need the most help.

02

Diagnose

Where the answer comes from, and why. Entity failures: DBAs, CAGE codes, and legal names the model cannot connect. Hallucinated facts. Stale or hostile citations. And the open slots, the high-value questions with no incumbent answer that you should own.

03

Move

A publishing and earned-media engine tuned to the retrieval pipeline: citation-ready capability pages, structured data shipped on your site, announcement timing discipline, and placement in the sources engines actually cite. We measure again every quarter and show the movement.

See how your AI visibility stacks up.

We publish quarterly AI Visibility Indices for defense sectors. The same instrument powers every client engagement.

We do not guess how models see the defense industrial base. We measure it at scale. Sector rosters. Dozens of queries per run across discovery and branded buckets, sampled repeatedly under parametric and search-grounded conditions, on the surfaces decision-makers actually use.

Every answer is scored for prominence, sentiment, and sourcing. The result is a share-of-answer index that shows who owns each question in your market, and which questions no one owns yet.

The instrument

Stop briefing on instinct. Start measuring.

Six metrics built for how defense actually shows up inside AI answers, and how it fails to.

M-01

Share of Answer

Prominence-weighted presence across every query that matters in your market: featured, listed, or passing.

M-02

Citation Independence

How much of your AI narrative rests on independent journalism versus your own website and paid directories.

M-03

Entity Resolution Rate

Whether engines can connect your legal names, DBAs, CAGE codes, awards, and coverage to one company.

M-04

Source Attribution Tiers

The credibility ladder of every domain the engines cite about you, from wire-service journalism to promo blogs.

M-05

Open-Slot Inventory

High-value questions with no incumbent answer, ranked by how winnable they are for your capabilities.

M-06

Accuracy Watch

Hallucinations and misattributions about you and your programs, caught before they propagate into derivative answers.

An award the machine couldn't see

A ~$100M private defense manufacturer won a major Army munitions prototype OTA, its best earned coverage ever. Seven outlets reproduced a shortened name that no AI engine could resolve to the company. Entity Resolution Rate on the biggest news in its history: zero. A competitor announced first and owns the story.

Visibility ≠ procurement

The four most-visible drone companies in AI answers hold 39.2% of total visibility. None are in the Pentagon's marquee drone program, whose participants hold 23.5% combined. The models rank media footprints. The people reading those answers assume they rank capability.

A stable hallucination

One program question has a published government answer key. Every sample we drew substituted a fake vendor for the real awardee, and the error propagated into three other policy questions. Nobody was monitoring. False information about your market compounds until someone corrects the record.

FAQ

Questions defense leaders ask us.

How is AEO different from SEO, and why now?
SEO fought for a click on a blue link. AEO fights for a citation inside the AI's synthesized answer. Defense mostly skipped SEO because everyone already knew the five primes and their suppliers. That world is gone. Thousands of new vendors, alternative acquisition pathways, and decision-makers who start their research in a chat window. The model's answer is the first impression, formed before your team enters the room.
Who actually reads AI answers about my company?
Congressional staff summarizing legislation and preparing hearing materials. Program-office analysts triaging vendor rosters they cannot track by hand. Investors running diligence. Journalists backgrounding a story. Most House and Senate offices now pay for AI tools, and fewer people are making more consequential decisions, faster.
Is this lobbying? Do we need to disclose anything?
No. Our work is measurement, publishing, and technical optimization of public information. We make no contacts with covered officials on your behalf, so no Lobbying Disclosure Act registration is triggered. We complement your government-affairs function. Our job is to make sure the room already knows who you are before your team walks in.
We're conservative about what we publish. How do you handle sensitive programs?
Everything we touch is public-source. No CUI, no ITAR-controlled technical data, no classified material, ever. Most of our highest-impact work is unglamorous and safe: making sure engines can resolve your legal entities, structuring what you have already announced so machines can read it, and correcting false public information. You approve every word before it ships.
How fast will we see results?
Entity and technical fixes can change branded-query answers within weeks, because grounded engines re-retrieve your site continuously. Discovery share, showing up when nobody typed your name, builds over one to three quarters as citation-worthy coverage accumulates. That is why the program is measured quarterly. You see the movement, or you see exactly why not.
What does measurement actually look like?
Dozens of queries across six buckets, sampled repeatedly per surface under parametric and search-grounded conditions, with every answer scored for prominence, sentiment, and sourcing. We report Share of Answer, Citation Independence, Entity Resolution Rate, and your Open-Slot Inventory. Discovery and branded queries are scored separately, because blending them hides exactly the weakness you are paying us to find.
